Megan Davis, LCSW, PMH-C

Psychotherapist, Millennial, Fellow Mom

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. As a woman balancing many roles and often feeling like there are not enough hours in a day, I understand the pressure to do it all and the sense of defeat and failure if you can’t.

I specialize in working with women who are navigating significant developmental stages and are ready to shed the unhelpful expectations and patterns that no longer work.

While I can’t predict the future, I do know that if you can commit to putting yourself first, even just for a few months, you will see progress and shed unhelpful patterns. I look forward to seeing where your journey takes you!

Do you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of where to go next?

If so, you’re in the right place.

With expectations from family, partners, employers, and society — it can feel like you are barely keeping your head above water. I believe that you deserve time to slow down, tune in, and reorient to what truly matters most.

You might be a new or expecting mother who is unsure how to cope with all of the emotions and changes around this new role.

Maybe you have a history of depression, anxiety, or obsessive-compulsive disorder and want proactive support around postpartum planning and care.

I believe you are doing the best you can with what’s worked in the past.

Let’s be curious about what can work now to help you find balance and connect to how you want to show show up and really live life.

I specialize in helping people do what matters, even when it feels uncomfortable.

  • From preconception and pregnancy to postpartum and perimenopause, there are so many physical, hormonal, identity and role changes that women face.

I have advanced training to understand the nuances that affect a mother's mental health as well as screen for and diagnose perinatal mood and anxiety disorders such as postpartum depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD.

  • I have training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold standard treatment for Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). I primarily work with mothers in the preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum periods who have recently received a diagnosis of perinatal OCD or have been navigating OCD symptoms long before pregnancy.

I have seen first hand the improvements clients are able to make with ERP and how this allows them to live their lives with more freedom and flexibility!

  • Therapy intensives create an opportunity for focused, deeper work to help individuals reach their therapy goals faster. Typically they last for 3-4 hours for 2-3 consecutive days and are perfect if you are ready for targeted work so that you can get the results, skills, and insights that could take weeks or months of weekly therapy to achieve!

  • I have experience in providing clinical supervision to LCSWAs located in North Carolina. A supervisee who is a good match wants to learn more about ACT, ERP, and have a perinatal focus.
